He received his B.S. degree and M.S. degree from Department of Basic Science, the University of Tokyo, in 1975 and 1977 respectively. He entered Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. and was engaged in semiconductor device modeling and device/process simulation. In 1990, he moved CRAY Japan and Nihon Silicon Graphics and took jobs of HPC application support and development and Massive Parallel Machine promotion. He returned Fujitsu Laboratories in 2000 and managed next generation semiconductor technology development team. From 2008, he stationed in Osaka University from Fujitsu BioIT Business Development UNIT and was engaged in development of physiome platform insilicoIDE. In 2010, He was a specially appointed professor at the Center for Advanced Medical Engineering and Informatics (MEI Center) in Osaka University. In 2012, He joined Neuroinformatics Japan Center of RIKEN Brain Science Institute as a researcher. He is now research consultant of Neuroinformatics Japan Center and a visiting professor of Tokai University School of Medicine, Cardiology.
